LTTE leadership safe: Tiger intelligence official
Head of International Secretariat of the Intelligence wing of the LTTE, Mr. Arivazhakan, who contacted TamilNet Friday categorically denied the reports that the LTTE leader Mr. Velupillai Pirapharan has been killed. Mr. Arivazhakan urged the global Tamil community not to trust the "engineered rumours," being spread by the Government of Sri Lanka and its military establishment.
"Our beloved leader is alive," he said and added that the LTTE leadership will make contact with its people at a suitable time in future.
"These rumours have been set afloat to confuse the global Tamil community which has been voicing support for the liberation of Tamil Eelam," he further said.
Mr. Arivazhakan, who verified his identity through a senior reporter in Sri Lanka, did not reveal his location due to security reasons.

பிரபாகரனின் உடல் என்று அவன் காவித்திரிந்த உடலை எரித்து விட்டானாம். பல வழங்குகளில் பிரபாகரனை சம்பந்தப்படுத்தி வைத்திருக்கும் எதிரி ஒரு குற்றவாளியின் இறந்த உடலை எரிக்கும் தகமையை நீதிமன்றத்திடம் இருந்து பெற வேண்டும். அன்றில் அதைப் புதைக்க வேண்டும். ஆனால் அவ்வாறு எதனையும் செய்யாமல் தான் கொன்றதாகச் சொன்ன தளபதிகள் மற்றும் பிரபாகரனின் உடலை எரித்துவிட்டதாக இன்று எதிரி செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளான். இது உண்மையில் அவன் நடத்திய நாடகத்திற்கு அவனே ஒரு முடிவை எழுதியது போல் இருக்கிறது.
Prabhakaran’s body cremated

The military yesterday said the body of LTTE leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran was cremated in Mullaitivu on Wednesday.
“His body was cremated in Mullaitivu and treated like the body of any other terrorist,” Military spokesman Udaya Nanayakkara told the Daily Mirror yesterday.
The Media Centre for National Security (MCNS) Director General Lakshman Hulugalle confirmed the report saying: “His body was treated like that of any other terrorist and cremated. That is all we have been informed,” he said.
